A MIGHTY GOD - A SIMPLE MESSAGE - FAMILY WORSHIP
At Salem, we all come together to worship God. Much of the world seeks to separate the family, and pull us many different ways. God's word, however, encourages us to come together in worshipping Him. In the church there is no rich or poor, young or old. We worship as a congregation to an audience of One. We are told in the word of God to sing praises to Him, be in the house of prayer, and to preach the whole counsel of God. We seek to do just that. Come in with us as a family; sing with us, bear one another's burdens in prayer, and hear from His word.
Congregational A-Capella Singing
We try our best to follow the word of God in our worship. We find no teaching in the New Testament Church to have instruments in our worship. He is not worshipped with the works of men's hands(Acts 17:25), so instruments are not needed in worship. We are to use what God has given us, and celebrate Him with the works of His hands in fearfully and wonderfully making us(Psalms 139:14). He gave us the ability to sing, and is the source of the Joy in our hearts causing us to sing. We try to find songs that teach true doctrine and magnify the God we serve. the song service is a crucial part of our worship as it warms your heart and mind to hear from Him. Please come and join us in worshipping Him in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs; singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.(Eph 5:19)
House of prayer
Christ declared it, and was upset when it was not the case. The house of God is to be the house of prayer(Matt 21:13). One of the best things we can do to come together is to share our burdens and celebrate the praise of God. We always share our prayer requests and the blessings of God with one another. We know we can do nothing with out Him and seek Him before we do anything .Please Let us know if we can pray for you; it would be our pleasure to do so.
Preach the Word
God has, through out time, talked to His people in many different ways. In this greatest time, He uses His ministers to speak to His people. He has given us His word to preach from and we are to only preach from it. We are to preach the whole counsel of God(Acts 20:27), and be the pillar and ground of the truth(1 Tim 3:15). We can see the need of preaching throughout the New Testament. Christ gave gifts unto men to build and edify the church. All of them were to preach to His people. Come and be with us, and pray for the minister that God's word be proclaimed and that he may speak boldly as he should speak(Eph 6:19).
