Elder John Staten began exercising in the ministry in 2012, and was ordained to the full work of the gospel ministry on October 21, 2017. He and his wife, Brandie were high school sweethearts, and have been married since July of 2000. They have two girls: Faith, now happily married and starting a family of her own, and Savannah, whom Brandie homeschools.
Elder John began his ministry at Point Remove Primitive Baptist in Russellville, AR under Elder Harold Stumbaugh; continuing under Elder Gary Harvey when Elder Stumbaugh retired from the Pastorate.
He accepted the call to Pastor Salem Primitive Baptist on August 14, 2018.
